• Plant in rich, well-drained soil in full sun to part shade in early spring, or mid summer for a fall crop. Start indoors 6 weeks before last spring frost date and transplant 2 weeks before last frost. Water consistently.
• Cut outer leaves from bottom of plant as needed. Leaves will regrow from central stem.
